CEM2025 is the next in a series of conferences on Computation in Electromagnetics extending back more than 25 years. The most recent conference was held in Cannes, France in April 2023, with some previous conferences having been held in Edinburgh, UK (2019); London, UK (2014); Wroclaw, Poland (2011); Brighton, UK (2008); Aachen, Germany (2006); Stratford-upon-Avon, UK (2004); Bournemouth, UK (2002).

CEM provides a forum for the discussion of problems, solutions, research and development spanning the spectrum of electromagnetics, focusing on the numerical modelling techniques and applications from “DC to Daylight” (and beyond). This inter-disciplinarity is a feature and a strength of the conference encouraging an inclusive atmosphere with an emphasis on networking.

The conference is organised into a number of thematic sessions—each is based around interactive poster presentations. The session starts with an invited ‘scene setting’ introduction, followed by each author in that session providing a ‘one minute, one slide’ overview before opening the interactive session itself. This allows more detailed and tailored conversations than are possible in traditional ‘oral’ sessions.

The International Steering Committee welcomes original contributions covering all aspects of Computational Electromagnetics. Contributions are encouraged from, but not limited to, the themes and topics in the following areas:

• C. Applications of CEM
• D. CEM in Education
• E. Open Source Codes for CEM (including Code Validation)

Computation in Electromagnetics (CEM) is a conference series focused on a community of professionals interested in simulation and related topics. Communication and mutual support are key characteristics of such a community. Equally, our community comprises different levels of experience. One thing is sure though, everyone can learn from everyone else. With that, we are pleased to introduce a Doctoral Researcher Workshop.

In this Doctoral Researcher Workshop, PhD students and post doctoral researchers have the opportunity to

• Discuss their research with peers and leading researchers in computational electromagnetics
• Practice communicating your research
• Learn some tricks and tips

All presented digests will be made available electronically to all delegates. A number of authors will also be invited to submit extended versions of their papers for submission to post conference publications (see below for details).
